For all experience levels

Riding Lessons: Courses

We have been teaching people to ride for over 40 years.

From gentle lead rein ponies for children taking their first steps in the saddle to dressage schoolmasters for experienced riders and everything in between, we are incredibly proud of our excellent selection of well-schooled and good-mannered riding school horses and ponies. Whether you are a complete beginner excited to start, someone looking for a career with horses, an experienced horse-person wanting to push to the next level or someone wanting to get back in the saddle after time away, our team of experienced and friendly instructors are on hand to help you achieve your goals (and ensure you enjoy yourself in the process)!

Riding lessons are available for children aged 3 upwards and adults of all ages, offered on a private, semi-private or group basis at 30, 45 and 60 minute durations.

Lessons can be booked with us online and are available Monday-Saturday. Please see below for a breakdown of lesson types available.

Please note that for the welfare of our horses, we do operate a rider weight limit.

Should you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us via telephone or email.

All new riders will be asked to book a 30 minute private assessment lesson. Within this lesson, our instructors will be able to discuss your lesson preferences and the most suitable progression path with you.

* Please note that we welcome clients of all physical and mental abilities. We are always happy to make any possible accommodations or special arrangements for those differently-abled riders. Please do get in touch with our team such that we can discuss your requirements and prepare appropriately for you.*

Don't just take our word for it

I joined in with a lesson and am now hooked! The staff have helped me gain confidence and together my son and I are becoming more competent riders! We love it.

Alex Perkins

I so look forward to my lessons the confidence giving teaching and the wonderful horses it’s so professional but also fun.

Dawn Chadwick

I learnt to ride at Kirklevington and 18 years on as an advanced rider, I still come here. The quality of coaching and horsemanship is unparalleled and the horses are beautifully schooled and very well cared for. The facilities are a huge bonus too, especially in the colder, wetter months!
