Facilities: Welcome

Our bright and airy indoor arena was purpose built in 2011. At 30m x 60m, it allows us to host a range of events including dressage and jumping competitions. It easily accommodates riding lessons over full jumping courses and multiple simultaneous flatwork lessons. It is the ideal space for our liveries to school their horses at leisure with plentiful room for all training manoeuvres!

The arena has a well-maintained surface with large kickboards and specialised mirrors, a brilliant aid for you to use when riding, plus powerful lighting, enabling riding to continue after dark.

To the back of our large indoor arena is a 20m x 50m sand arena that can accommodate riding lessons and schooling in the open air and often serves as a warm up arena to competitions taking place in the main arena.

We have multiple flat, grass arenas across with excellent drainage across our grounds. They are often used for schooling outside in pleasant weather or for flatwork and jumping shows in the Summer months. We will occasionally offer course hire over championship standard working hunter courses in these fields.

A recent addition to our facilities, we have a large outdoor arena utilised for lunging, free-schooling and turning out horses.

We have the luxury of many miles of off-road hacking around the private grounds of the riding centre and its associated farm. Kirklevington village and the surrounding area boast miles of bridleways for extensive hacking whether it be a relaxed walk out around fields, a splash in some local streams or a picnic by the river.

We have 35 large, sheltered and well-maintained stables on our yard. The majority are used by our livery clients and riding school ponies but we are able to offer some overnight competition stabling for competitors travelling long distances.

We have a large number of well-kept fields, allowing our livery clients and riding school ponies to enjoy turnout throughout the year.

Our newly-built wash area, stall and solarium allow our horses to enjoy temperature-controlled wash offs and baths, warm ups before schooling and relaxation. The stall offers the ideal setting for vets and farriers to tend to our charges in a safe and calm environment.

  • Classroom: we have an onsite classroom allowing efficient delivery of our educational courses in a warm, dry environment.

  • Onsite café and bistro: during peak hours, competitions and weekends, our café is open offering a selection of delicious hot and cold food and drinks, using high quality, locally sourced ingredients. The café also provides the perfect sheltered viewing area for riding lessons and competitions taking place in the main indoor arena.

  • Secure storage areas: we offer our livery clients personal, secure storage areas for their tack and other equipment.

  • Onsite staffing: Our team of professional and friendly staff are on hand to lend excellent horsemanship and extensive experience to our livery clients when needed throughout the day. Our chief instructor and yard owner lives onsite, providing additional security for horses in our care and able to offer emergency care through the night if required.
