COVID-19
We have carefully thought-out policies to keep everyone safe
Covid-19: Welcome
We reopened our centre at the end of March for riding lessons, activities, venue hire and select competitions in line with the latest roadmap announced by the UK government.
The safety and health of our clients, staff and the general public is central to our plans and risk assessments throughout.
We are keen to ensure we are completely transparent with our plans and hope that this will help to maintain your confidence in visiting us as well as keeping you in the loop with our next steps as we are aware many of you are anxious to return to us.
Below, we have outlined our policies for each business aspect of our centre that will come into effect upon our reopening;
Riding Centre
We would dearly like to be able to invite all clients back to us and welcome new clients however, we must do this slowly. The slow re-introduction of our lessons is affected both by how many instructors and horses we have in work and the necessity to maintain social distancing for the health of all clients and our staff, as well as the wider public.
Intermediate-Advanced Riders (able to walk, trot and canter independently and adjust their own tack): We are able to welcome both existing and new clients in for private lessons as we can maintain a safe distance from our clients.
Group Lessons: permitted to go ahead for up to 6 riders plus 1 instructor.
Novice Riders (able to walk and trot without assistance): We will re-introduce a small number of these lessons. Please be aware that our lesson availability is limited as we slowly bring additional horses and instructors into work. Existing clients are being prioritised over new clients for peak hours, for now.
Beginner Riders (no experience): We are assessing these lessons on a case-by-case basis.
ALL CLIENTS: are asked to observe the following protocols;
· Sanitise hands upon entry to the yard and after coming into contact with any repeat touch-points (e.g. stable doors, arena gate)
· Maintain suitable social distance at all times
· Minimise spectators at lessons and ensure spectators follow all client guidance
As the pandemic progresses, guidance from the government, the BHS and our local authority evolves and we will keep you abreast of any changes to our operations both via our site and our facebook page.
Competition Centre
RE-OPENING APRIL '21
We remain committed to proceeding with a competition schedule commencing in the Spring, following all up-to-date guidance from the government, the British Horse Society and Sport England.
Individual guidance for the competitions will be published on our schedule and communicated through our facebook page.
We thank you for your support and patience and hope to be able to see you at our centre again very soon!
